I'm leaving the old intro here, but adding this- it appears the doves have taken over my blog for their fiction. Just as well, I was doing a piss poor job of updating. They're doing much better.

This blog is infrequently updated, full of incorrect spellings, misused words, and general bad grammar. It started when I was trying to use google+ (which I've since given up on) and discovered there was no character limit for posts. If you've known me a long time, a lot of these stories will be old hat. If you plan to know me for a long time, you'll no doubt hear many of them in person. But, folks seemed to enjoy them, so here they are.

the two hundred and eighty second story

Recipes by kest:
A second way to make Chai

Someone has sent you some gingerbread-men with a lovely buttercream frosting.
Those would be great dipped in tea.
Dip cookie in hot earl grey.
Oh! That frosting dissolves REALLY fast!
Oh! oh dear! So does the cookie!
What a mess.
Take a sip of your now thicker, slightly creamy, somewhat gingerbreaded tea.
This is a -delicious- mess
Enjoy!

the two hundred and eighty first story

How to make iced tea:
recipe by kest

Make a pot of tea
Drink it
Decide you need another pot of tea
Make another pot of tea
Go out
Come back, hours later
Decide you want a pot of a -different- kind of tea
Dump the previously made pot into a spare pint glass in order to make room for fresh tea
Put pint glass of tea in fridge
Be delighted when, much later, you open the fridge to look for a snack and you instead find pre-made tea
Enjoy!

the two hundred and eightieth story

How to make a post-holiday recovery tea:
Recipe by kest

Make a pot of tea.
Find yesterday's teacup, with a bit of tea left in it.
Decide that standing up to clean the cup is too much effort.
Pour fresh tea over whatever remains in cup.
Take a sip.
That wasn't tea in the old cup. That was scotch in the old cup.
Oh well. This is fine.
Enjoy!

The two hundred and seventy eighth story

How to make ginger tea:
Recipe based on a suggestion by Eryn, at Pakt in Kingston

Place a large chunk of candied ginger in teacup.
Pour hot earl grey to rim
The first sip will be pretty much earl grey, but by the bottom it will be deliciously sweet and gingery.
Eat the now un-candied ginger
Refill cup with plain earl grey
enjoy!

the two hundred and seventy seventh story

Anklyosaurus forges with his tail. Frankly, he still has some room to improve his aim, but he's getting better every day.
